The Ellis School
The Ellis School is Pittsburgh's only age 3 through grade 12 independent girls' school. Ellis offers strong academic, arts, and athletic programs and has a dedicated, experienced faculty. A caring environment builds self-esteem and develops an awareness and concern for others. Ellis girls represent 70 zip codes and 41 school districts in the Pittsburgh region, and 31% are people of color. By encouraging students to actively pursue the opportunities of a rich and challenging curriculum, Ellis has prepared girls since 1916 to develop the wisdom and courage to lead in local and global communities.
