Internship Program

internshipprogram

The goal of FAME's internship program is for high school scholars and college-level alumni to have a meaningful and educational work experience during the summer. The program enables FAME Scholars and Alumni to learn more about the career options that Pittsburgh has to offer to talented young adults after college graduation. In turn, the internship program also enables Pittsburgh's business community to increase its diversity by gaining access to a bright and talented African American workforce. FAME's Internship Coordinator works closely with each student to find an internship that will meet their individual needs, interests, and career goals.

This summer's internship program gave FAME Scholars and Alumni a sense of independence and a number of transferable skills that these young people will all one day use in the work place. FAME Scholars and Alumni were placed with host sites in the fields of education, law, government, nonprofit management, medical, and communications.
