Programs
The assistance FAME offers to its scholars does not end with financial aid; the organization is designed to respond to the variety of needs that a student may have. FAME is dedicated to supporting scholars throughout their academic careers and offers an array of programming to aide in their success. FAME facilitates numerous Leadership Symposiums, tutorial services and academic enrichment programs to ensure that each student's experience within his or her school is a rewarding one. In addition, FAME hosts social events for FAME families and other African American families at independent schools designed to help develop a sense of community and establish internal support systems. Finally, FAME assists scholars and alumni in finding internships within the Pittsburgh area and directs students to a number of academic programs taking place within the community and across state lines.
