William Kindler

Dr. William L. Kindler has served as Head of School at St. Edmund's Academy in Pittsburgh since 2007. Previously, he was Head of School at Erie Day School for 17 years. He has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS), and is active with several state and national organizations. As an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University, University of Rhode Island, Florida Atlantic University, and College of Boca Raton, he has taught courses in such topics as "Educational Leadership," "Cognitive Development Assessment," "Special Education for the Gifted," and "Educational Psychology." Dr. Kindler holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Psychology from Northern Illinois University, an MA in Education from NYU, and a BS in Group Work Education from George Williams College.
