Richard W. Reed, Jr.
Richard W. Reed, Jr. is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. The Parks Conservancy is the non-profit partner of the City of Pittsburgh that is working to restore and maintain the City's park system.
In addition to his work with the Parks Conservancy, Mr. Reed is Chief Financial Officer of Smith Machine Inc., a processor of specialty steels and titanium, located in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania. His is also an adjunct staff member of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art focusing on their long term development efforts.
Mr. Reed serves as a director or an advisory board member of a number of nonprofit organizations including Gilda's Club of Western Pennsylvania, the Ellis School, The Neighborhood Academy, Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, and the Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education. He is also a corporate director of The Lockhart Company and a Governor of The Pittsburgh Golf Club. Before joining the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Richard was Executive Vice President of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
