Hilary S. Tyson

Hilary S. Tyson currently works in educational, cultural and human service organizations. Most recently, she served as President of the Board of Trustees of The Ellis School. She is currently co-chair of the Jewish Women's Foundation of Greater Pittsburgh. A founding member of this organization, she serves on its Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee. She also serves on the boards of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and on the advisory boards of the Pittsburgh Dance Council and the United Jewish Federation Foundation.

Ms. Tyson attended Boston University, where she majored in Broadcasting and Film and minored in Romance Languages. She spent time with Eisaman Johns and Laws Advertising Inc. in Los Angeles and then served as Vice-President and Director of Production at the Toyota Center, formerly The Summit, in Houston. Since returning to Pittsburgh, Ms. Tyson has worked in the City of Pittsburgh's Department of City Planning. Her work has encompassed both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Ms. Tyson is married to Charles M. Porter and they have two daughters, Marisa and Gillian.
