Admission Process
FAME aligns its admission process with each of the partnering independent schools. After attending the Informational Fair held each November, families must move through the admission process as outlined by each school. Generally, candidates will be asked to:
- Attend an open house at each potential school (regularly scheduled between October and January). Please click here for a list of 2011-2012 open house dates.
- Submit an admission application.
- Interview with school personnel and spend a day on campus.
- Take an admission exam (generally the ISEE scheduled between October and January). Please click here for a list of 2011-2012 ISEE test dates.
The Admissions Director at the school will help guide you through the process and make recommendations to the FAME office regarding the students who meet FAME's selection criteria. To be considered for a FAME scholarship award, students must demonstrate:
- academic excellence
- leadership capacity
- a high level of financial need
- and participate in a FAME facilitated interview
