With FAME’s assistance twelve scholars and fourteen alumni secured internships this summer in the Pittsburgh area.
FAME interns each have a meaningful and educational work experience that will help students to become stronger leaders and expand their awareness of the breadth of career opportunities. For most students, this was their first practice for what life would be like in the workforce. It is important for each student to have a well-rounded and educational experience during their internship that will help guide them on the appropriate career path and motivate them toward long-term success.
What makes FAME interns unique?

What did the internship supervisors say about their FAME interns?
"Maya was wonderful; she contributed a different perspective to the group, learned quickly, worked hard, and was extremely dependable." - Mary Tremonte
“I just wanted to complement the interns on completion of a very technical project. One of my responsibilities is to evaluate change of occupancies under Federal Guidelines. We received two changes of occupancy requests. They researched the current occupancy, identified what the current occupancy category was and compared it to the proposed occupancy category in the Federal Guidelines. It was good work and they performed this task with minimal supervision.” -Richard Meritzer
